for some ppl, hymns might be very old n boring. but when we ponder upon it, we can discover how powerful n meaningful it is. i don't mean that praise & worship song nowadays r not powerful n meaningful, but hymns is definitely evergreen. just like 1 of my favourite, Amazing Grace by John Newton
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.
When we've been here ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we've first begun.

"powerful" statement...(konon)
walao....so long din update hor...been lazying for quiet long time d... XD
anyway...there's this statement been lurking around Christianity which i don't really like it...it's goes like this:
"wanna show them what is XXX church"..."what is ur church special in?"
i say come on lah...we r here to magnify the name of the Lord not magnify the name of ur church or how special is ur church...i don't care lah if ur church is like City Harvest Church kah..Lakewood Church kah..Hillsong Church kah...if u r using those similar statement i mentioned, then u r in big big big trouble...u have provoked the 10 Commandments...

Unconditional LOVE ♥~
i received an email just now..that email was so touching..
here goes the email:

The girl in the picture is Katie Kirkpatrick, she is 21 . Next to her, her fiancé, Nick, 23.
The picture was taken shortly before their wedding ceremony, held on January 11, 2005 in the US . Katie has terminal cancer and spend hours a day receiving medication.
In the picture, Nick is waiting for her on one of the many sessions of quimo to end.

In spite of all the pain, organ failures, and morphine shots, Katie is going along with her wedding and took care of every detail. The dress had to be adjusted a few times due to her constant weight loss

An unusual accessory at the party was the oxygen tube that katie used throughout the ceremony and reception as well. The other couple in the picture are Nick's parents. Excited to see her son marrying his high school sweetheart.

Katie, in her wheelchair with the oxygen tube , listening to a song from her husband and friends

At the reception, katie had to take a few rests. The pain does not allow her to stand up for long periods

Katie died five days after her wedding day. Watching a woman so ill and weak getting married and with a smile on her face makes us think..... Happiness is reachable, no matter how long it last. We should stop making our lives complicated.
how wonderful it is to received this kinda love and happiness. this is how Jesus loves us as he sacrifice himself on the cross to bear all our shameful sins (huiyooo...still can relate this story with Good Friday...lol) but anyhow, this story gave us a big moral value that is "unconditional love". it is easy to love some1 with condition but it is hard to love some1 unconditionally. try imagine u trying to hug a slum kid. sure u'll say "ewwwwwwwwwww". that is y it is hard to love uncondotionally. it's a big lesson to us.

shout to the LORD~
this song is one of my big time favourite worship song.
this American Idol version.
VERSE 1
My Shepherd, my Saviour
Lord there is none like You
All of my days I want to praise
The wonders of Your mighty love
VERSE 2
My Comfort, my Shelter
Tower of refuge and strength
Let every breath all that I am
Never cease to worship You
CHORUS
Shout to the Lord, all the earth, let us sing
Power and majesty, praise to the King
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name
I sing for joy at the work of Your hands
Forever I'll love You, forever I'll stand
Nothing compares to the promise
I have in You
